Genuine Buffalo soap (from buffalo tallow) is made on the Fort Berthold Reservation. Striving to preserving the essence of the Buffalo once represented to the Native people of this land is of great importance to the prople there.
Corn oil is a second major ingredient. Corn was as important to the Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold as the Buffalo. As agricultual tribes, corn along with beans, squash, pumpkins, and sunflowers, were the cultivated staples of life to the Arikara, Hidatsa, and Mandan Tribes.
Only 100% natural ingredients are used. Buffalo Tallow soap is hand made, hand cut, and hand wrapped with tender loving care that takes a minimum of 10 to 14 days from start to final wrapping.
Available in the following eight traditional scents:
Sage; Sweet Grass; Cedar Leaf; Cedarwood; Prairie Rose, Lavender; Patchouli; and New Mown Hay. |
